The Marquisette is an drink particularly present in the south-east of France and consumed in popular balls (recipe for 30 people).

Ingredients

  • 7 l white wine (like Picpoul de Pinet)
  • 1 bottle Champagne (or a sparkling wine)
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 5 yellow lemons
  • 3 limes
Marquisette

Directions

  1. Marinate 24 hours in advance the wine, lemon juice and sugar.
  2. Just before serving add the lime cut into small pieces and the champagne.
