A modern classic whisky cocktail created by Sam Ross, combining Scotch whisky with honey, lemon, and ginger for a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blended Scotch whisky
  • 1/4 oz Islay single malt Scotch whisky
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz honey syrup
  • 3/4 oz ginger liqueur
  • 3 slices fresh ginger

Directions

  1. Add the fresh ginger slices to a shaker and muddle gently to release the oils.
  2. Add the blended Scotch whisky, lemon juice, honey syrup, and ginger liqueur to the shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Double strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice.
  5. Float the Islay single malt Scotch on top by pouring it slowly over the back of a bar spoon.
  6. Garnish with a slice of fresh ginger and serve immediately.
