The Bramble is a spring cocktail created by Dick Bradsell in 1980s London, England. Bradsell suggests finishing off the cocktail with some fresh red fruits and a slice of lemon.

Ingredients

  • 35 ml gin
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sugar syrup
  • 15 ml blackberry liqueur
  • Garnish – slice of lemon and a blackberry

Directions

  1. Shake the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker with a good handful of ice cubes.
  2. Then strain into a rocks glass full of crushed ice.
  3. Drizzle the crème de mure over the top so it ‘bleeds’ into the drink.
  4. Garnish with the lemon slice and blackberry.
